CLASS ON DEMAND: Nordfjord Rosemaling Style

The Nordfjord style of rosemaling is a style that stayed regional to the Nordfjord area of the west coast of Norway. These designs were traditionally painted on ale bowls that were also made by local farmers in the area. The designs of this style have geometric shapes and stylized tulips and scrolls. This is a style that has stayed true to its roots; it hasn’t been influenced by outside painters.
Patti Goke will teach a Nordfjord design on a 10” shallow bowl from Tim Monztka Woodworking. You do not need this identical item, you can choose an item of your choosing that will accommodate a 9 - 10” design.

Golden Carbon Black
ROSEMALING COLORS: ( I will demonstrate in oils, but acrylic painters are welcome)
Mars Black
Raw Umber
Titanium White
Yellow Ochre

#1 Round
OTHER MATERIALS NEEDED:
Paper Towels
Palette
Palette Knife
Painting Medium (I use artist grade linseed oil)
Anything else you like to use
